Cleavers from this particular maker can be easily distinguished by a flared spine (see photo of the cleaver’s tip). Not only is this feature useful for tenderising slices of meat or deshelling nuts, it also makes holding the knife in a pinch grip quite pleasant. Made of carbon steel with a blacksmith’s finish. In brand-new condition and comes in a box.
Word of caution: Contrary to what most people might think, not all cleavers are meant for hacking through bones, and a “vegetable” cleaver should not be used as such if you do not want to chip the blade.
